I think you have much worse conditions than we do on the High Desert. Very weird weather we are having. We've just had a lot of rain over the 6" of snow leaving a soggy mess. This at 4300' elevation. Sheesh!
We missed most of the freezing rain but got our share of the snow - things seemed to survive it though. I am amazed at my giant tree kale which was looking quite miserable in the steady 23 to 25 degrees weather we had for several days, but now with the thaw and warm up it is all perky and happy again. I am growing in admiration for this hardy perennial vegetable plant.
Ugh! Freezing rain is the worst winter weather. Stay safe and I hope your property doesn't suffer any damage.
