Harvest Monday ...

I have been harvesting all kinds of vegetables out of the garden, but my greatest triumphs are  my cabbages.  You may recall that last year my cabbages ended up looking like this ...

... full of worms!  They destroyed my entire crop!  Not this year ...

25 yards of tulle netting and no worms!

This photo was taken through the netting but you can see my beautiful cabbage (var. Gonzales).  I forgot to take a picture at the time ... we had this in a stir fry with a meal of Freezer to Crockpot Chicken Adobo (recipe coming soon :).  It was delicious!

I'm joining other bloggers over at Daphne's Dandelions as we share our weekly harvests...it's fun to see what others are harvesting and what they are cooking up with it...check it out!

Enjoy!

  2. Very nice! I wish I covered mine on time because bugs are all over them. :(

  5. your cabbage is beautiful (so are those pea plants!). I keep a look out for old sheer drapes at the thrift store for things like this.
